***Meet Peanut... She's currently crushin' miles on the Pacific Crest Trail***

Peanut On The PCT

My name in the 'real world' is Jennifer Johnson.  I'm from Longview, Washington and until recently was a real estate attorney in a very small town on the Columbia River.  My trail name - from my current thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail - is Peanut, and I now spend my time walking 25 to 30 miles a day and eating way too much ramen.  At this point in my adventure, those two personas feel like they're worlds apart.

To provide some background, I picked up hiking and mountain climbing after I divorced my ex-husband years ago. I felt that something was missing in my life and that I might find it by heading back to the outdoors that I enjoyed as a child. I signed up for a mountaineering course given by an organization in Portland, Oregon and, though it challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone (Turns out I'm not a badass rock climber!), I found that I loved hiking and climbing the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, and I made a lot of friends that did as well.

On a long flight to Hawaii three years ago, I read the book 'Wild' and it brought the Pacific Crest Trail into my awareness - cheesy, I know. But I saw something in that story that reminded me of my own life and I decided that I was going to try thru-hiking even though I had only been on a few short backpacking trips and had no idea at all what I was getting myself into. Those same friends that I made in the class encouraged me to do it, so I saved money, planned, trained, and eventually quit my job and sold my house in order to be able to take the six months off that I would need to complete the PCT.

As of today, I've been on the trail for four months. Not every day has been fun, but the majority of them have been enjoyable, either because of the amazing views, the remarkable people, or because of some physical or emotional challenge I was able to get through.  When I lay down at night, I am exhausted and happy.

I'm not sure what life will look like after I finish this adventure, and I'm trying not to worry about it. I hope to try some shorter trails in the US like the Pacific Northwest trail or go abroad to hike something like the Israeli National trail. Whatever happens, I know that I will be making adventure more of a priority than I have in the past and I look forward to finding out what life has in store for me next.

Reveille Skin

Meet Reveille

"Awaken Your Skin From Within"

Reveille Skin was born out of the idea that no one should have to put synthetic ingredients, chemicals, or animal-byproducts on their skin. My husband, Matt and I started Reveille Skin out of our sailboat in South Florida with the desire for all-natural, nourishing products that protect and heal our skin from the sun. I have over 13 years of professional experience as an Esthetician, trained in a holistic school in Maui, Hawaii. My education focused on ingredient-based treatments that heal the skin from a variety of ailments. I have taken this knowledge and transformed it into Reveille Skin, a product line for customers that wants to harness nature's remedies for ultimate healing.

What is Chaga?

Chaga rates the highest anti-oxidant on the ORAC scale and contains Polysaccharides, Beta-D-Glucans, and Phytosterols. Chaga is linked to reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, among a variety of other benefits. Its superior healing qualities make it a superfood you won't want to live without.
